Best birth control for no period?

i'd like to start taking a birth control that will stop my periods, but im not sure which one would be the best. in case it matters, i havent taken birth control in the past and im 16.Best birth control for no period?
Any combined oral contraceptive mono-phasic pill can be used to stop your period, all you have to do is skip the placebo week pills and go straight on to your next pack. This is called ';Continuous Cycling.'; There is a brand of pills marketed to eliminate your period entirely, but they're just a normal birth control pill with no placebo week packaged (you are given 4 weeks of active pills, instead of 3 weeks of actives and a week of placebos); this brand is called Lybrel. There are also brands packaged for 4 periods each year (Seasonique is one example). One problem with these specially marketed pills is that you may suffer from spotting or breakthrough bleeding more likely than on a ';normal'; pill, where, after a few months, if your body asks for a period, you can take a placebo week and get a withdrawal bleed, without worrying about whether your pregnancy protection has been compromised. You'll want to talk to your doctor or gyn about your specific needs, and I'm sure they'll have some input about what's best for you. Good luck!Best birth control for no period?
Keeping in mind that you may have insurance that covers birth control.... you will want to get one of the marketed-for-no-period-brands because insurance companies are really picky about not paying for extra packs if you decide to skip your periods on the traditional monthly pills.

And then there is the shot... depo provera. That's a shot four times a year and 50% of women don't have a period after being on it for a year.... but studies have shown that it decreases bone density, so I would be more inclined to go with the pill if it will work for you.
ive been on the shop (depo) for half a year

and its wonderful for not having periods!

I haven't had one since i started it

but i also gained 15 pounds, dont ever want sex, and am super moody...

I'm switching to paragard

it doesn't have hormones so you get normal periods though

but i would much rather bleed once a month and not be so grumpy and fat and not wanting sex from my hubby

good luck!
Your Dr will advise you on that, he will probably draw some blood to check your hormone levels and then prescribe a pill with the hormones and strength you will need.
