Help, on windows vista, the volume control slidebar disappeared at the right bottom of the screen! no Audio?

Control Panel -%26gt; Sounds. Turn up the volume there. I believe that is the place anyway, I'm not on a vista machine right now, so I can't make sure.

As far as the system tray, right click on the taskbar and go to properties. Click advanced, and there should be a checkbox for Volume. If it's grayed out, trying restarting your computer.Help, on windows vista, the volume control slidebar disappeared at the right bottom of the screen! no Audio?
If Alex T's answer didn't help you out, try going to start-%26gt;second-click My Computer-%26gt;Manage-%26gt;Device Manager. If you see a yellow question mark in an audio device, that could be causing the problem, also.
